After working together for a full year, it was time for the Green INSTRUCT consortium to meet again, this time in Vienna, Austria. On the 20th and 21st September 2017 the meeting was held by alchemia nova at Impact Hub Vienna, a place which promotes entrepreneurship and innovation globally.

The Green INSTRUCT mission is to develop a prefabricated modular wall panel made from Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) (over 70% of net weight), which incorporates Green Wall technology for the treatment of grey & storm water and shows improved acoustic and thermal performance, multiple functionalities and reduced weight.

During the meeting each partner presented the advancements in their research, technical development and technological development as long as their plans for their future work. Moreover panel-prototypes of the prefabricated building block were provided by the technical partners to the consortium and extensive discussions were made on their further development.

The current key challenges for the Green INSTRUCT consortium which include the panels design for prototype buildings and for demonstration at the chosen sites were discussed. Additionally further discussion on the required panel sizes and production capacities were made. Before the end of the meeting, productive technical discussions on the product design and the demo sites took place, which resulted in valuable decisions.

The Green INSTRUCT project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723825.
