Heading towards the middle of the 42-month Green INSTRUCT project, the consortium’s partners held a progress meeting at the University of Aveiro, on the 7th and 8th of March, in Aveiro, Portugal.

The Green INSTRUCT mission is to develop a prefabricated modular wall panel made from Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) (over 70% of net weight), which incorporates Green Wall technology for the treatment of grey & storm water and shows improved acoustic and thermal performance, multiple functionalities and reduced weight.

During the meeting the progress of each work package was presented by each partner and issues regarding the overall concept and the future work were discussed. Moreover a technical discussion took place which was related to:

(1) Green INSTRUCT panel design,

(2) materials required and

(3) demonstration site and the amount of panels to be demonstrated.

Finally, the final decisions were taken regarding the panel design.

The Green INSTRUCT project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723825.
