Brunel University hosted a seminar on Friday 15 September 2017, led by Prof David A. Lange from the University of Illinois, USA on waste concrete aggregates and foamed concrete.

Prof. Lange is currently serving as vice president of the American Concrete Institute, and also serves on the ACI Board of Direction and ACI Foundation Board. Dr Lange’s research interests include behaviour of concrete materials in concrete pavement applications, characterization of microstructure of porous materials, early age properties of concrete, and water transport in repair and masonry materials.

The purpose of this seminar was to exchange ideas in research. Prof. Lange showed a real interest on the technologies being developed during the Green INSTRUCT project and asked to be informed about the outcomes and the results of the research being held in the project.

The Green INSTRUCT project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723825.
