Green INSTRUCT participated in the 37th Cement & Concrete Science Conference which was hosted by the Advanced & Innovative Materials (AIM) Group at University College London (UCL) during the period 11th – 12th September, 2017.

The conference was jointly organized by:
Advanced & Innovative Materials (AIM) Group, University College London (UCL)
Cementitious Materials Group, The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3)

with support from:
The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT), UK
Qingdao University of Technology (QTech), China
The Collaborative Innovation Centre for Advanced Civil Engineering Materials (ACEM), China

and gathered a high quality audience from both academia and industry.

The conference enabled academic as well as industrial scholars and practitioners to show their research on topics such as alternative cementitious materials and its application,  utilization of waste materials in cements and concretes,  low carbon technology related to cement and concrete.

Green INSTRUCT was represented by Brunel University which prepared an oral presentation on measuring the rheology of alkali-activated cements using non-traditional methods and also a poster presentation on the recycling of concrete for the production smart energy storing aggregates impregnated with PCM.

The Green INSTRUCT project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 723825.
